Well, as most of everyone has heard by now, we're out of Badders due to a really unlucky separation.
The docs are performing surgery and there's pretty much a guarantee that there will be screws, pins and a few plates, plus 6 weeks out of the saddle. Which leaves us out of England, but not entirely out of Europe. The pain isn't that bad, but it's more emotionally hurting than anything else.
But in the meantime check out the snazzy homemade splint job!

Students and schooling opportunities
If you haven't heard the news, Peter is going to England to train and compete in Badminton.
While everyone is very excited for him, Henny and Drake, the web monkeys also sure that students are wondering what the heck they'll do withouttheir fix lessons.
Starting in May, there will be limited opportunities to school with Peter in the East and Mid West. These days will be announced here and on the Facebook page so that students and regular can come ride.
The first dates are in Lexington, KY at Champagne Run, May 11-13 which is a great supplement to prep up and out for the upcoming competition calendar. People should be in contact directly with Mary Vance mev.champagnerun@gmail.com to schedule.

England!
With the great success of Rocking Horse and Red Hills, we had to set schedule for the spring. We faced a bit of a dilemma with the Olympic games coming up and the fact that Henny, in all honesty has already run Kentucky twice (WEG and Rolex) successfully.
So Henny's schedule is set and we're skipping out on the Rolex in favor for Badminton in England. Drake will also be possibly coming along to gain experience overseas.
In addition to the normal fundraising, this also means that we're heading forward with the syndication of Henny to help cover the costs of travel and competition. We think this is a great way for people to be involved with the sport and enjoy the benefits of ownership. For those interested please email Peter at Peter@atkinseventing.com.

Long time no post!
Our web monkey, was a little distracted busy for the last few months and Florida, in winter just gets busier every year. You can't blame the girl, it was her first season.
The team has kicked off the year in an amazing way.
Henny made several public outings at the Florida Horse Park, Del Ray and H.I.T.S. in preparing for his first Advanced this season, which he did in style. Only one, uncharacteristic rail in show jumping and Henny finished on a good dressage score and 7.2 points behind the leaders and third overall.
Baby Drake, following in the hooves of big brother Henny, successfully competed preliminary the first couple of weeks and this past weekend competed in his first Intermediate, finishing 6th overall at Rocking Horse.
Amy's two Connemaras, are also rocking right along. Completing BN and Novice divisions on good dressage scores, Amy is planning on bumping Laddie up to Training.
The team is also finalizing spring and summer plans for Henny and Drake, which will allow us to help finalize a clinic schedule. Stay tuned for those.
The year hasn't been without sadness as well. We bid an unexpected good bye to friend, Erica Marshall, who had died in the explosion at KESMARC. She was a lovely person, and will be missed. Our thoughts also go out to Sorcha Moneley, who is now listed as fair at the hospital.
